Business Licenses

Child Safety Seats
Child passenger safety technicians are available to check child safety seats for Tinley Park residents only to verify that they are properly installed. Inspections are by appointment only and can be made by calling (708) 444-5326.
Noise Ordinance
Please keep in mind that it is against Village ordinance toconduct any building operations (construction, repair, reconstruction or maintenance) or property maintenance work (such as landscaping and landscaping maintenance work) which involves loud equipment from 10p.m. to7a.m. within 300 feet ofresidences. Overnight Parking
Remember to take your car off the street from 2 to 5 a.m., as street parking is prohibited during those times. Residents can request certain exceptions by calling (708) 532-9111.

The Tinley Park Police Department offers aradar loan programthat allows residents to borrow a professional radar device in order to identify potential speeding issues in their neighborhood.

Snow Removal
The Public Works Department begins snow removal after an accumulation of one inch of snow. Visit thesnow plan and responsepage for more information, including a jurisdictional map of which streets are plowed by the various governmental agencies.
Street Maintenance
The Public Works Department conductspavement repairsfrom April to September; sidewalk replacements and mudjacking from May to October; street sweeping from late March to early November; and trimming, removing and planting trees from late fall to early spring.
Water Billing
Water and sewer billscan be paid at Village Hall, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park, oronline. Tinley Park is on a quarterly billing system. Residents receive a water bill every three months, and the net amount is due within 25 days (20 days for billing dates prior to April 1, 2016).

Orland Township has opened a new Secretary of State express service office at 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park. Outdoor Nature Amenities
Tinley Park residents have access to beautiful nature and exciting amenities, such as Orland Grassland and George Dunne National Golf Course, thanks to the Forest Preserves of Cook County. Orland Grassland Land and Water Reserve, to the Village’s west, provides opportunities to bird and hike, bike or run the 10 miles of paved and unpaved trails in the preserve that has been designated as one of the highest quality natural areas in Illinois. To the east is the Bartel Grassland and Bobolink Meadow Land and Water Reserves in which residents can witness restoration efforts in their own backyard. Both preserves are designated as high-quality natural areas. The nearby George W. Dunne National Golf Course is recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top public courses. This 18-hole course offers the unique features of bent grass fairways and greens. To the Village’s northeast is the Tinley Creek Trail System of more than 21 miles of paved and unpaved trails that run through several preserves, such as St. Mihiel Woods-East.
