Curfew for Minors - City of Champaign (2024)

Curfew laws in the City of Champaign are established as follows:

Age 13 and younger:
Daily, 10:30 PM – 6:00 AM

No person thirteen (13) years of age or younger shall be or remain upon any street, alley, or other public place in the City between the hours of 10:30 PM and 6:00 AM.

Age 14 -16:
Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Friday – Saturday, 12:00 AM Midnight – 6:00 AM

No person between the ages of fourteen (14) through sixteen (16) shall be on any street, alley or other public place in the City between the hours of 11:00 PM Sunday through Thursday, and 6:00 AM the following day, or between the hours of 12:01 AM and 6:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday.

Exceptions:
Children may be out during curfew if they are supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible companion at least 18 years of age and approved by a parent or legal guardian. Curfew restrictions may also be lifted for instances such as lawful employment or a school sanctioned activity.
